Before joining Google in 2010, Nicholas spent the previous decade producing, directing, editing, and shooting videos and still images for news, corporate, entertainment, and advocacy media. Nicholas was also a professor at Eugene Lang College - The New School for Liberal Arts, and Marymount Manhattan College in NYC, teaching courses in video production, new media and media theory. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from The New School University with a focus in documentary film making and media theory, and his Masters Degree from New York University where he specialized in political communication and new media. Today Nicholas teaches journalists around the world how to use Google's tools for storytelling and is a public speaker on innovation, experimentation and education in the classroom and newsroom.
